Torrents. Direct links. One rift.
Rift is a native download manager for Windows, macOS and Linux. A tuned BitTorrent engine and a multi-connection HTTP engine, in one fast app that runs entirely on your device.
Eight lanes. One file.
Paste a link and Rift opens several connections to the same file, each fetching its own range. When a lane finishes, it takes half of the biggest piece still left, so every connection stays busy until the last byte. No slow tail, no "assembling" step at the end.
Auto mode adds connections only while they make it faster, and stops when they don't. Parallel lanes help when a server limits each connection. They can't make your internet line faster, and Rift doesn't pretend they can.

The number is the number.
Every speed Rift shows is measured from bytes that actually arrived. No estimates, no "boosted" figures.
- 01File data only. Protocol overhead is shown separately, so Rift matches your system's network monitor.
- 02It adds up. The speeds of all rows equal the total in the status bar.
- 03Zero means zero. When nothing arrives, the speed drops to 0 within 2 seconds and Rift tells you why.
- 04Limits are visible. "4.9 of 5 MB/s limit", so a capped download never looks like a slow one.
Your browser hands it over.
Right-click any link and choose Download with Rift, or let Rift take over downloads by file type and size. Cookies and the referring page come along, so files behind a sign-in just work.

The extension talks to Rift through the browser's own native messaging pipe. Nothing listens on your network.

Bind Rift to your VPN adapter. If it disconnects or its address changes, Rift pauses every torrent and every direct download within two seconds, and picks up again when the tunnel is back, if you want it to.

Same Rift. Everywhere.
Every detail, on your device.
- Stream while it downloads
- Play a video in VLC, mpv or the built-in player before it finishes. Seeking moves the download to where you are.
- Rules that run themselves
- Watch folders, RSS rules with episode tracking, seeding limits, and if-this-then-that rules like "when a Movie finishes, move it and unpack it".
- One limit for everything
- Global and scheduled speed limits and monthly data caps cover torrents and direct downloads together.
- Mirrors, Metalink, checksums
- Pull one file from several servers at once, and verify it against SHA-256 or the hash a site publishes.
- Plays well with your PC
- Keeps the computer awake while busy, can sleep or shut down when everything finishes, and slows down on battery, metered networks or while you game.
- Move in from other apps
- Import your torrents, categories and tags from qBittorrent, Transmission or Deluge without rechecking everything.
- Safe by default
- Downloads get the system's "from the internet" mark so your antivirus checks them. Removing a torrent never deletes files unless you ask.
- Nothing else to install
- No .NET, Java, Python, WebView or Visual C++ redistributable. Install it, or unzip the portable build and run.
Rift is a neutral download client. It ships with no indexers, no tracker lists and no site rippers, and it never bypasses DRM.
